1. Have a Time Table For Your Various Social Channels
So the first secret is knowing how to balance your activities for your various social channels. You need your engagement to be equal for all your social channels, or else you will lose people daily on the channels getting less attention.
But while doing this, always remember that there are those channels that no matter what you do, you still don’t get enough attention. While there are some that with just little effort, you generate lots of it. Always schedule your time table to favor such channels.
The ideal number of times to share a link from your site on your social channel is one per day. This also entails that you don’t forward such links to various groups in the same social channel. This will help you reduce the risk of being charged for spamming, and blocking of your site’s URL on the social channel.
To get started, you can assign your various social channels to different days of the week that you will share links to your blog. This way, your posts will be fresh on these channels and will boost the confidence your audience has in you.
Finally, once you have finished creating the time table, always try to stick to it. It has a way of uniquely branding your pages, in a way that people always know what to expect for each day when they visit your page.

3. Share Other People’s Posts
If you are the sole author for your blog, you will usually find it difficult to have much new content for your blog. As well, you may be clueless as to what next to post to keep engaging your audience while waiting to finish writing your blog post.
One other trick which I have been using is to find blogs that are in the same niches as mine, and while I wait to publish my new post, I post relevant topics from these blogs on my social pages. This made my Twitter page to be filled with new contents whenever you visit.
One more important thing is to like and share other people’s posts especially if they are related to your niche. If you do this, courtesy demands that they owe you one.

4. Try To Write at Least One Post a Week
Another important tip is never to abandon your blog. Try to write one unique post for your audience to read at least once every one or two weeks. Never leave your blog for up to a month without new content, else, people’s attention will be shifted from it.
If you lack inspiration on what to write, engage yourself actively in learning communities like Quora and see the questions people from your niche are asking and try to answer them on your blog. Also, use questionnaires to find out what your audience wants to read, and write on them.

5. Re-Share Old Posts
No post is too old to be read. There are always people who will be happy to read the content of any blog page. It is always good to find time to re-share old content from your blog to remind people of the message you passed through it.
It also helps newer persons in your audience to learn about it. I usually dedicate the last week of every month to do this. And at the end of every year, I will as well share all my posts from the beginning of the year. While doing this, it is also advisable to get rid of obsolete posts.
This technique actually has a way of boosting your site’s traffic for the month.

6. Write Newsletters
A newsletter is a periodically sent letter/publication that contains current information on a particular topic or niche usually meant for a specific audience. It is usually sent in bulk via email to the various persons who are subscribers to such niches.
The most important tool used for creating and managing these newsletters is Email marketing tools. This involves collecting emails through the signup forms, pop up forms, or landing pages from willing members of your audience. Then an email is usually sent to these persons periodically to inform them of the new content from the blog, or the next big move about your business.
One benefit of using email marketing is that it gives your audience a sense of belonging, and it also boosts your site’s traffic.
