I actually dislike talking about things like this in the open…

But I just realized its due to a false belief I grew up holding unto…𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

𝐒𝐨 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐞 Limiting Beliefs?

I will help you understand this by sharing a story…

I was discussing with a friend recently, and he shared with me how he was punished by his dad during his primary school days because he purchased an MP3 using the money he saved from his stipends.

𝑁𝑜𝑤 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡’𝑠 𝑤𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡?

1. The dad could’ve been concerned that his child preferred a “common” MP3 to feeding well at school.

2. Or Maybe his child is no longer taking his studies seriously at school, but prefers playing music with his MP3.

A lot more could’ve gone wrong..

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗣𝟯 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 ₦𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹.

But the dad never believed a child of his age can be wise enough to save money to invest in anything at all.The boy was just 7 years old…

So for the dad, the child could have “̵s̵t̵o̵l̵e̵n̵”̵ the money to satisfy his cravings for an MP3.

In my case, one of the limiting beliefs I grew up with is that talking about your achievements or posting them online is showing off…but I have grown past this one…lol

𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 Limiting Beliefs 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:

1. Believing that your current situation is your parent’s fault or someone else’s fault.

2. Thinking that every opportunity you see online is after your money, even if it’s free

3. Believing in luck, omens, and other superstitions as the determinant of your success

4. Believing you are not worthy enough, etc.

Letting go of limiting beliefs

It is important first to find out what your limiting beliefs are! {No One can do this for you}…then;

Yeah 😅 It’s a real hustle!

But I am working hard to release all my limiting beliefs.

At the moment, I listen to daily affirmations from Purify App to help me feel positive daily…And if you would like to get it, I included the link in the email you will receive after you signup to receive the free E-book on this website.

See you on the other side! ❤️
